Created on May 31st, 1999, the National Petroleum Industry Organization - ONIP is a private law non-profit non-governmental organization, that gathers every segment that act in the oil and gas sector. It is kept by the associated that fund the organization. The National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Bio-Fuel Agency (ANP) is part of this Council not entitled to vote. The Advisory Board, formed by five representatives of the Deliberative Council, besides ANP, has the function of giving more agility to the decision process of ONIP, acting as permanent link with the Executive Board.
Its mission is to contribute with the increase the competitiveness and sustainability of the national industry, to maximize the local content and for the generation of jobs and income of the petroleum and gas industry.
Cadfor is a registry developed and managed by ONIP in partnership with nine large operators for their exclusive use, which make qualified information of goods and services supplying national companies available for the petroleum and gas industry.
The companies sponsored by Cadfor are: ANADARKO, BW OFFSHOREL, CHEVRON BRASIL, FMC TECHNOLOGIES, QUEIROZ GALVÃO EXPLORAÇÃO E PRODUÇÃO, REPSOL SINOPEC BRASIL, SBM, STATOIL, SCHLUMBERGER and SHELL BRASIL. These companies invest significant sums in Brazil through Cadfor seek to extend its knowledge on national suppliers, in view of the maximization of the national content in these investments.
